A picture tells a thousand words. One will be amazed by how magnificent this lean tower stands tall, not forgetting that it was built in 1880s, full of historical values 👍🏼. One can also see the bottom of the water tank once reached the top floor. A place you s hould not miss.

If you’re ever road-tripping through Perak, Malaysia, do yourself a favor and make a stop at Teluk Intan — home to the town’s most iconic landmark: the Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan. Yes, it leans, and no, it’s not in Italy.

This charming 8-storey pagoda-style tower is over a century old, and it’s got stories to tell. Originally built in 1885 as a water tank, it later doubled up as a clock tower — and somewhere along the way, it developed a bit of a lean (thanks to the soft ground it’s built on). But rather than being a flaw, it’s become its signature quirk.

This Chinese Pagoda shaped iconic landmark is a heritage of Teluk Intan town (previously known as Teluk Anson). Served as the emergency water storage tank at the top, it was also and still the time showing clock tower for the city. Had it not for this landmark, Teluk Intan town may not have been popular in Malaysia. Anyone visiting this landmark shall not miss stopping at 'Mee Rebus Mastan Ghani' not far from this location. Nasi Kandar Gulam Rasul, Nasi Kandar Krishnan, Glutton Square, Ah Chai Rojak and Jalan Maharani Hawkers Center are few food pitstops not to be missed. The town is also famous for many pre and post-war history and has many buildings of unique architecture
