Hock Soon Temple was the centerpoint of all Hokkien Chinese, during the British colonial era. The old temple was constructed in 1883.

The former Court House building was built in 1880 and used as a court until 1983. On Sundays, the building doubled-up as a church until St.Luke’s was built in 1911.

Riverside Promenade Walk, offer serene views and a tranquil setting. The well-lit path along the river is ideal for a quiet stroll, enjoy the peaceful flow of the river.

An elephant calf was hit by the train and died. A bull elephant returned, facing the train head-on to protect his family. The British government was so moved and set up an Elephant Memorial at the very spot.

Also known as the Jubli Perak Memorial, this was erected in 1935 by the Indo-Ceylonese community.
This memorial is a significant landmark, with fondly remembered communal atmosphere.

The old Teluk Intan police station played a role in the town's history, particularly as part of the town's development and as a location for early police operations.

It is believed that this cannon was also used during the Perak War which broke out after the assassination of J.W.W. Birch. These canon was found by Wan Ali Bin Wan Sulaiman in 1953, when he was digging in his garden, 60 yards from the tomb of Sultan Abdullah Muhammad Shah.

Old Palace of the Raja Muda, Teluk Intan This former official residence of Raja Muda Perak and was built in 1924. 

Built in 1891, is an Anglo-Indian style building, primarily of brick and timber.

Once upon a time Teluk Intan was the main port for exporting tin, mined from the Kinta valley. This bridge was part of the rail network.

The 30km branch line from Tapah Road to Teluk Intan, was opened in 1893. and closed down in 1989.

The Tamil Methodist Teluk Intan began in 1905 as one of the outreach of TMC Ipoh,  until 1914. 

 Between the old town market and Pasar Besar Teluk Intan, is short strip that teem with nostalgic food stalls, from the 1880s. Today, it still houses some old stalls, with 3rd or 4th generations history.

The Indian Muslim Mosque in Teluk Intan, built in 1886 by Indian merchants. This is one of the oldest mosques where late Sultan Yusof Izzudin Shah and late Raja Muda Musa prayered.

Sultan Abdullah died in 1857 and was given the title 'Marhum Itikadullah", but was better known as 'Marhum Durian Sebatang'.

The mosque is said to have been built by Laksamana Tok Tambah who was the aide of the 26th Sultan of Perak, Sultan Abdullah II

Masjid Daerah Sultan Idris II Teluk Intan is the 3rd mosque, build in Teluk Intan. It is given permission to hold Friday prayers.

Sikhs in the police force built the first Gurdwara in the police barrack in 1892. By the 1990s the condition of this Gurdwara building had deteriorated. It was demolished to make way for this new Gurdwara Sahib.
